These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Solidmind Chrome extension, the website at solidmind.io, and related services (together, the “Service”). By installing or using Solidmind, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Solidmind is a focus tool: you declare a topic, and the extension uses on-device AI to blur pages that don’t belong to it. Evaluation quality is best-effort — the AI can be wrong on genuinely ambiguous pages — so Solidmind blurs rather than blocks and always offers a way through. Solidmind is a productivity aid, not a security, parental-control, or content-filtering guarantee, and you should not rely on it as one.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. Accounts
The free tier requires no account. To start a trial or subscribe, you sign in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google account you use and for activity under your account. Our handling of account data is described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing
- Free tier. The core focus features are free.
- Trial. New accounts may receive a time-limited Pro trial. When the trial ends, Pro features stop unless you subscribe. No card is required to trial.
- Pro subscription. Pro is billed at $4.99/month or $35.99/year through our payment provider, Polar, who acts as Merchant of Record and issues your invoices. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Taxes and refunds are handled by Polar in accordance with their terms and applicable law.
Prices may change; we’ll give reasonable notice, and changes never apply retroactively to a period you’ve already paid for.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service except as the law allows;
- use the Service to break any law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
- circumvent the subscription, trial, or entitlement mechanisms.
6. Intellectual property
Solidmind, its software, and its branding are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. Your own content — your topics, sessions, and lists — remains yours.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties including Google (sign-in), Polar (payments), and Cloudflare (hosting). Your use of those services through Solidmind may also be subject to their terms.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its verdicts will be accurate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solidmind will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and uninstall the extension at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes take effect on the “Last updated” date above; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer-protection right you have under the law of your own country of residence.
